Everything on a Waffle
Polly Horvath
The story is about Primrose, whose last name is not coming up in my head. Her parents were lost at sea and her uncle gets her custody. She had a dog named Mallowmar! Then she is hit by a truck and her pinky toe gets cut off! And people hunting for bears find her parents! In the book there is a fire in the neighborhood. Primrose likes to go to a restaurant called “The Girl on the Red Swing”; every thing you order comes on a waffle! That is why the book is called everything on a waffle! Her uncle used to be in the navy and when he got primrose he moved into the old base next to the gym. She was very happy when her uncle got her. The part where her parents were found really touched me because she was the only one who believed they were alive. If not for her home and power to believe the book would defiantly be different. I also liked the part where her and hre parents reunited it was so happy and it was something she hopped would happen and it did! I think Primrose and alike because we both never stop believing or hoping. So far this is my favorite book because it includes humor and reality and some fiction. I liked the genre but I don’t expect to read this summer………..at least not books anyway!

SONNET 2
When forty winters shall beseige thy brow,
And dig deep trenches in thy beauty’s field,
Thy youth’s proud livery, so gazed on now,
Will be a tatter’d weed, of small worth held:
Then being ask’d where all thy beauty lies,
Where all the treasure of thy lusty days,
To say, within thine own deep-sunken eyes,
Were an all-eating shame and thriftless praise.
How much more praise deserved thy beauty’s use,
If thou couldst answer ‘This fair child of mine
Shall sum my count and make my old excuse,’
Proving his beauty by succession thine!
This were to be new made when thou art old,
And see thy blood warm when thou feel’st it cold.
My best friend ever, Allyssa B******, is one very special person in my life. She has blonde hair (like me YAY!!!)And she short too! She has blue eyes and we have so much fun together. I met her last year in Mrs.Pfeiffer’s home room, we were in there together after that we were best friends; and we still are.
When we are together the whole place turns into a circus. We are best friends because we have a lot in common. We’re bot5h blondes, we’re both ditsy too. We both rode horses at the same horseback place too. We didn’t realize it until last year. Thinking alike is something we can do (its scary)! Of course we both have our “blonde; moments” and we think of the craziest things together once we wanted to make something out of marshmallows and gummy bears. We’re friends because we make each other laugh (that’s why we got moved in math class). The whole class could be quiet but I and Allyssa could be sitting there laughing our heads off (and that’s only at school).
When we’re not in school it’s three times crazier; I think it’s because we have no restrictions. Like once at McDonalds we were with my mom and of course we were hyper and crazy. Well then I was joking around-d saying I was going to order a “whopper” (those are from Burger King not McDonalds)! Then my mom said not to because we might get kicked out. So I didn’t , we got our food and sat down, some crazy guy(he wasn’t really crazy) and two other guys standing there the crazy guy was looking at the other to with one hand at one eye in a “c” shape and the other like its cranking an old fashion camera; then he said ” Look guys ! I got a camera!” We were cracking up! Then the security guard (since when did McDonalds get a security guard) came up to me and asked if I was Irish! I said no why. He said because you have green hair! `-`
After McDonalds we went to Pac-Sun because I needed a new backpack. When we were there I also got 2 bags, 1 purse, 2 belts, and 1 backpack. When we where there we were talking about how crazy expensive the bathing suits are and that I would never get one but I wanted one (I didn’t get one). The ride home was hilarious! We both had a bag on our head and a belt draped around our neck. We were waving to a whole bunch of people that passed us; one guy looked at us like we were crazy; I think we knew him. One guy licked his lips (CREEPY)! I don’t know if he just ate and had food or something on his face or his lips were dry. But I was CREEPY!!
Of course we can’t forget the Chinese Auction. Allyssa and I were talking and every time someone came in she would say something that sounded bad if you didn’t know what we were talking about. So we just started cracking up!
We’ve saved each other before too! It was from the crazy, hot-tub, gas stealers! Ok, here is what happened, I was at Alyssa’s house and we were in the hot-tub and all of the sudden Alex’s truck alarm went off and her mom rushed out and asking Alex how to turn off his truck alarm. Then these guys asked her if they have gas. She said they only had diesel and that it wouldn’t work in there truck. She told them to go to the neighbor’s house. So we were scared and they left. Then we heard a lot of noises and we got even more scared and slammed the tub closed and ran into the house. It was scary and fun!
Allyssa is a special person because when we are together it is a party! Plus I know she would help in a life or death situation (the hot-tub guys). That is why Allyssa is a special person in my life.

Emily Dickinson
Although, Emily Dickinson didn’t want to or think she would ever be famous, she was and still is one of the best poets in the English speaking language. She has written many poems in her life time, from “I am No One, Who Are you?” to “I Have Not Told My Garden yet”. In many of her poems she talks about nature, I have not yet found one where she didn’t.
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was born in Amherst, Massachusetts on December 10, 1886. Emily was born in Homestead. Emily also died in Homestead. Emily died of kidney disease. She died at about the age of 56.
Although her and her mother weren’t very close Emily still lived a very happy and strong willed childhood. Emily’s mother, who she disowned, was Emily Norcross and her father, who she loved very much, was Edward Dickinson. Her parents were puritans; she didn’t accept puritan’s teaching. She also had a brother, Austin, and a sister, Lavina; Emily was the middle child. She and brother were rivals. Emily went to school at Amherst Academy and Mount Holyoke Seminary. After spending a year at Mount Holyoke she had to return home because of severe homesickness. Emily spent almost her whole life in Amherst.
Emily only published seven of her poems in her life time. When Emily was on her death bed she made her swear that she was going to burn all of her poems. Her sister published Emily’s poems and burned the originals, as Emily told her to do, burn them. By now every one had at least one of Emily’s poems, all thanks to her sister of course.
Emily became famous because every one that bought one of her poems became so interested that they just bought more and they spread the word. A lot of people like Emily’s poems because of how she describes things in her poems. Some for her famous poems are:
•o I Have Not Told My Garden Yet
•o I am No one! Who Are You!!
•o Heart We Will Never Forget Him
•o Hope
Emily is known and loved across the world people love her for her artistic writing. They also love her for her imagination. See Emily is one of the world’s greatest poets.
